Bella and Charlie met in 2011 during their freshman year of high school. Later that year, Bella mustered up the courage to ask Charlie to the Turnabout school dance. She set up an elaborate scavenger hunt at the local mall with one clue for each letter of the word “Turnabout.” Charlie, being the 15 year old that he was, skipped the scavenger hunt and randomly went into stores asking if there was a clue. Two stores later, Charlie found the last clue and he said yes!

After two years of friendship, Charlie asked Bella to prom in a less elaborate way… a post-it note on her locker (Bella saved the post-it note and they still have it today). Shortly after prom, he asked her out on a date. They went to Walker Brothers Pancake house and Bella was so nervous she couldn’t even finish her order of pancakes. That was the first and last time she didn’t finish her food.

For college, Charlie moved to New York and Bella headed to DC. They spent many weekends on the four hour Tripper Bus route between the two cities. Through long distance, Bella and Charlie learned to cherish every moment they had together, no matter how big or how small. They found joy in even the most mundane activities and discovered that binge watching Survivor was one of their favorite hobbies together.

After four years apart, they settled down in New York City. Together, they explored restaurants, survived a pandemic in a 600 square foot apartment, and raised the best pandemic puppy, Ollie.

One sunny day in December 2022, Charlie popped the big question in Prospect Park. Bella said yes!
